Four Students to Present at National ACS, Spring 2009 in Salt Lake City

The Waldow group will have three students (Luke Latimer, Michael Barich, and Kurtis Fairley) present posters and one student (Moriah Zimmerman) present a talk at the Spring 2009 ACS meeting in Salt Lake City. The abstracts are presented below.

1) Luke Latimer, to graduate ~5/2011

New 500 MHz NMR is being installed!

We now are very close to having our new 500 MHz Bruker NMR installed. The photo to the left is  just after the NMR was cooled and ready to be energized. It is now close to operational with 2 of the 5 probes calibrated. The sampler changer is also close to being ready for use. Please see the following URL for many photos of the process.

New AFM is up and running...

Our new AFM has been installed and it working well. We purchased an Asylum MFP-3D from Asylum Research in CA. It works well and we are learning a lot about AFM and using AFM on polymer blend thin films. See the research web pages as the research progresses.

New Web Site for the Waldow Group...

I have been developing this new web site to support my research group activities and my teaching activities. I am using the content management system (CMS) call Drupal. See the following link for more information: <www.drupal.org>. Drupal is a very powerful CMS system.
