VISITING ASSISTANT PROFESSOR: The Department of Chemistry at Pacific Lutheran University (PLU) seeks to hire a full-time Visiting Assistant Professor with teaching responsibilities primarily in organic chemistry, lower division laboratory courses, and/or possibly a GOB (general-organic-biochemistry) course. There may also be opportunities to mentor undergraduates in research. Term of full-time appointment: September 1, 2011 – May 31, 2012. Ph.D. or M.S. and college-level teaching experience preferred. The department (http://www.chem.plu.edu) offers ACS certified degrees. Equipment includes 500 MHz FTNMR, AFM, GC/MS, HPLC, FTIR, Raman, UV/VIS, ICP-AES, and a variety of computational chemistry software.
