Research and Scholarship

Professional Interests:

• Using magneto-structural correlations to inform the design of low-dimensional magnetic systems. Focus is on metal halide systems.
• Correlation of NMR coupling constants with conformational and structural properties for flexible pyranose systems using molecular mechanics and ab initio calculations.
• Application of computer and calculator data collection methods to general chemistry laboratory studies.
• Environmental Studies of local watershed systems-metals analysis using ICP-AES.
• Chemical analysis of wines-influence of agricultural practices on mineral content and vinification methods on flavonoid development, and their influence on wine quality.
